'Standing up for your nation makes you a target' - Top Trump insider blows lid on 'spiritual battle to restore the West'

Donald Trump's Chief of Protocol has opened up on the President's battle to "restore the West" in the face of "globalist evil".

Monica Crowley, speaking to GB News just moments after the conclusion of the King and Queen's state visit to the US, revealed the moment she knew Mr Trump was waging a "spiritual" war: just as the President faced a third attempt on his life inside two years.

Ms Crowley gave a chilling first-hand account of last weekend's chaos at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in an exclusive sit-down interview with The People's Channel.

"I was close to the dais, so I saw all of this start to unfold," she said.

"Initially we all thought it was a protester. But then I quickly realised that whatever was happening was not being contained. And actually the situation was getting larger, it was getting bigger."

She continued: "I was on the floor of that ballroom, praying with some of my table-mates that this wasn't going to escalate beyond what we were just witnessing.

"It occurred to me that Donald Trump is such a unique figure, such a uniquely brave figure, a uniquely courageous figure to take this on."

The top White House insider said the President's run-ins with would-be assassins had a "spiritual nature".

"This is a battle of good versus evil, of light and darkness," she said. "And Donald Trump, God bless him, through sheer force of will and hard work and courage, simply presses through.

"It's just an extraordinary tale to to be a part of."

Right now, 31-year-old suspect Cole Allen is charged with attempted assassination, discharging a firearm during a crime of violence and illegally transporting guns and ammunition across state lines.

Prosecutors allege Mr Allen intended to target the President, citing an email he sent to relatives on the night of the shooting in which he appeared to refer to Mr Trump as a traitor and a criminal.

As a result, Ms Crowley has decried the "escalatory nature of the criticism" directed at Mr Trump.

"They have so dehumanised him over so many years. They have so demonised him, they have turned him into a cartoon character," she said.

She also drew a chilling parallel between Mr Trump and his predecessors Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon - both of whom faced attempts on their lives.

"If you are an American leader or a leader in the West who is standing up for national sovereignty, for your own national interests rather than a globalist agenda... it makes you a natural target for elimination," she said.

"This President has stood up very bravely and said: 'This stops on my watch.'

"We are going to turn this around, and I'm going to stand up to the nature of this evil in order to restore the United States and the West."

The President is leading the way on the "correct path", Ms Crowley added: "The globalist march needs to end."

Mr Trump's Chief of Protocol is the second member of his inner circle to draw parallels between attempts on his life and his spirituality to GB News.

Earlier this year, his pastor, Mark Burns, was pressed on whether the President had become a more spiritual man after he was shot in the ear in Pennsylvania two summers ago.

"He knows, without a shadow of doubt, that the hand of God was - is - upon his life," Mr Burns said.

"It was the hand of God that moved that bullet just sheer millimetres" away from his head, he added.
