Arsenal players and staff party into the night after Gunners win Premier League title

Arsenal players and staff have been partying into the night after the Gunners won their first Premier League title in 22 years.

Their success was mathematically confirmed last night when Manchester City could only manage a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth.

The Arsenal squad had assembled at their London Colney training facility to watch City's fixture against the Cherries, hoping to witness the moment their championship was sealed.

Despite keeping their gathering under wraps, footage emerged after the final whistle showing players erupting in celebration as the result confirmed their triumph.

Outside the Emirates Stadium, supporters congregated in their thousands to mark the occasion they had waited more than two decades to experience.

Club legend Ian Wright was spotted at the heart of the party among the jubilant crowd outside the ground.

Members of the Arsenal squad were seen outside the Emirates this morning, as the celebrations continue.

Mikel Arteta's side had done their part 24 hours earlier with a victory against Burnley, giving themselves a five-point buffer to City.

Following City's draw, the north London club can finally call themselves English champions once more.

Since Thierry Henry's unbeaten title winners, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Leicester City, and City have all lifted the trophy.

The scenes brought an end to years of near-misses that had seen Arteta's squad labelled the Premier League's near-missers.

Pep Guardiola was magnanimous in defeat, praising his former assistant and the club that denied City another title.

The City boss said: "Congratulations to Mikel, congratulations to Arsenal, they have been phenomenal.

"We were close. On behalf of everyone at Manchester City, we congratulate Mikel and all the staff, players and fans on winning the Premier League. They deserve it."

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, a lifelong Arsenal supporter, took to social media to celebrate the triumph.

He wrote: "22 long years for the Arsenal. But finally, we're back where we belong. Champions!"

The title is Arteta's first major silverware since the 2020 FA Cup, which came during his debut campaign as manager.

Further honours could await, with Arsenal set to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final next week.

The squad will collect the Premier League trophy following Sunday's season finale at Crystal Palace, where tickets have become highly sought after among the club's most devoted supporters.
