Donald Trump arrives in Beijing for ‘crucial’ talks with Chinese President
Donald Trump has arrived in China, descending the steps of Air Force One, ahead of “crucial” talks with President Xi Jinping.
The US leader was met with a host of dignitaries, Chinese military personnel, and greeters waving flags of America and the People’s Republic.
Appearing at the top of the plane’s stairs, Mr Trump raised his fist in a characteristic gesture before descending.
He was joined by two of his children, Ivanka and Eric Trump, as they were greeted by Chinese officials.
President Trump was handed a bunch of flowers by a small girl before he took a moment to observe the flag-wavers.
After this, the US leader was escorted to his waiting Presidential limo, dubbed The Beast, which carried him into the Chinese capital proper.
